Also, here are the numbers with an optimized build:

--no-statistics: 0.21 s
pre-optimization (6c349d83b6): 0.75
v3j-0001 (8f427187db): 0.65
v3j-0002 (6ee3b91bad): 0.27
new patch 0001+0002: 0.26
