Hi Nathan,
This issue has to do with the Postgre database, so we will need to get the support team from Postgre to help.
Team,
Can you look at the attached error message and advise.

Hi Roman
I have tried a few things in those links but still no luck
This is a very frustrating issue and obviously a well known one...
Is there anyway it can be sorted remotely by someone with a better understanding of this issue?
Thanks Nathan

Hi Nathan,
Postgre has some info on their website on how to solve the error reading message. I have attached a links below.
This one talks about possibly already having a “postgres” user account on the system:
http://www.postgresql.org/message-id/5379577A.3010305@aklaver.com
This one talks about the potential of a space character in the user name:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16730405/postgres-instalation-error-reading-file-postgresql-conf
This one lists other potential problems:
http://forums.enterprisedb.com/posts/list/1802.page

Hi Nathan,
Yes, most definitely. When the PostgreSQL database uninstalls it will leave parts and pieces behind. We will need to find these items, folders, or files and delete them before we can do a manual install of the database. There might be folders under C:\Program Files and under C:\Program Files (x86) and possibly somewhere else that will need to be deleted. These would be named PostgreSQL and psqlODBC.

Hi Nathan,
LogWare III will not start properly unless the database has been installed correctly. Has this computer had any version of LogWare III on it before? Or was this a clean install?

Subject: RE: Logware III Install issues
Hi Nathan,
The error is most likely caused by a previous install or by a failed install. Please delete all PostgreSQL files/folders in the C:\Program Files directory. Then try manually installing the database again using KB0177.
Also, MET/TEAM does not use PostgreSQL, it uses SQL Server.

Hi Nathan,
You may need to manually install the database. I have attached a Knowledge Base article (KB0177) that the software engineers have put together. Please give this a try.

Hi
I have been trying for about a month now to install this on my system to work with MET/CAL etc
It seems to be not installing the data base to enable it to run......
Please see attached picture of installation requirements
I’m lost as to what to do here
Thanks
