Hi there,

I have a problem with local host resolving.
LOG: could not resolve "localhost": host nor service provided, or
not known
LOG: disabling statistics collector for lack of working socket

I am running HP-UX 11.23 and have installed postgresql 8.1.3

Localhost is in /etc/hosts, I also have nsswitch.conf and resolv.conf
configured.

gridy 23: nslookup localhost
Name Server: dns1.ethz.ch
Address: 129.132.98.12

Trying DNS
Trying NIS
looking up FILES
Name: localhost
Address: 127.0.0.1
Aliases: loopback

Can anyone help me on this.
