Hi everybody !

My brother has picked-up last week 4 servers at Continuent in Grenoble
with his own car. He met there Gilles Rayrat. Since I'll be abroad for
some weeks, I'll pick the servers up by december 16th at my brother's
house. I plan to take the servers down to Marseilles by december 17th or
18th (some 4h drive).

So the servers will be online a bit before Christmas.

As we planed it, there will be 2 servers for PostgreSQLFr organization
and 2 others for PostgreSQL Europe.

This will allow my company (dalibo) to give full acces to the servers to
the members of PostgreSQLFr, because the services (web, ftp,
mailing-list, PostgreSQL, etc.) will be migrated to those 2 servers.
dalibo will then have no more root access to the machines.

So dalibo will not maintain those services anymore, the non-profit
organization members will have to do it (no worry, many of dalibo
members are also personaly involved in PostgreSQLFr) by their own.

This is what dalibo wanted to reach: dissociate as much as possible
PostgreSQLFr (non-profit) from dalibo (profit). It hasn't been that easy
just because PostgreSQLFr founders are the same than the dalibo one :)

In the same way of thinking, dalibo will have its own booth at Solutions
Linux 2008, in the business-side (who said "dark side"? ;-) ) of the
exhibit, while PostgreSQLFr will have its own in the non-profit side.

dalibo will continue its "free" (?) sponsorship (we dont had even a
brilliant button on PostgreSQLFr.org linking to dalibo.com ...) by
offering an unlimited bandwith for those 4 servers.

I'll keep on touch everyone when the servers are be up & running.

I frankly and sincerely thanks all Continuent staff to help us this way.

I think this donation worth a word in the PostgreSQL Weekly News, as I'd
like to see more often companies willing to support us !

Cheers,
