Great Bridge once ran some sort of (what they thought it would be) TPC-C
benchmark. They used the proprietary Benchmark Factory software for
doing so.
While working there I had some time to play around with that stuff. This
benchmark suite uses ODBC drivers to access the database remotely from
one or more Windows clients. While running queries similar to what a
correct TPC-C implementation would do, the given implementation of
Benchmark Factory is far from the specifications. It doesn't implement a
system under test and doesn't use the specified thinking- and keying
times and does not bla, bla, bla ... in short, forget it.
