La página del manual de latin9 dice:
Especially important is ISO 8859-1, the "Latin Alphabet No. 1",
which has become widely implemented and may already be seen as the
de-facto standard ASCII replacement. However, it lacks the EURO
symbol and does not fully cover Finnish and French. ISO 8859-15 is
a modification of ISO 8859-1 that covers these needs.

No se como afecte la parte de Finnish y French ¿?, tal vez Tatsuo sepa
algo al respecto, desde aqui parece bien.
