Major changes were made to the DNS for postgresql.org earlier this week.
All of the DNS for the mirrors was dropped: that is why people were
seeing sporadic "host not found" errors. I *think* the DNS is working
properly again. Why this was not announced to a public list, and why
the change was not announced in advance is beyond me.

I (and others) have offered to act as a secondary nameserver to help
prevent things like this from happening, but have gotten no response.
