Error configure plphp

Buenos dias
Saludo a los miembros de la lista ya que soy nuevo en ella.

Estoy intentando instalar plphp (1.3.3 y 1.3.2) pero no consigo compilarlo.
Al ejecutar configure siempre me da el error de que no encuentra la libreria
de PHP.
Alguien sabe como hacerlo funcionar. He estado buscando y he visto en alguna
página que hay un error en el configure pero no consigo encontrar nada.
