Merhaba,

Alan adını almış, tasarımı da önemli ölçüde bitirmiştik. Ancak sayfayı
tuttuğumuz sunucuya erişimim kalmadığı için proje askıya alınmıştı.

LKD'den de tanıyacağınız Noyan Selçuk Hancıoğlu bize gerekli alanı
sağladı. Şimdi benim de biraz vaktim varken (!) işi bitireceğiz.

Ali Bey, elimde yedek vs de yok. gunduz.org üzerinde bir yedeğim olacaktı
ama orasının dosyaları elime geçmedi henüz (bir hafta içinde geçecek
sanırım). Sizde yedek varsa bana e-posta ile iletebilirseniz sevinirim.
Bir an önce "yayına" başlayalım; zira aklımdaki eğitim vs için altyapıyı
hazırlamak istiyorum bir yandan...

Merhaba,

Geçenlerde UTF-8'de bir çalışma yaparken ILIKE üzerinde bir hata
farkettik. Sorun İ ile i'nin (ya da diğer özel harflerin( ILIKE
sorgusunda ortaya çıkıyordu. Sorunu önce glibc'de sandım ve ilk hata
raporunu oraya gönderdim:

Just offhand, iwchareq() seems several bricks shy of a load:

This test is wrong per Jakub's observation. Also, the code right below
that is using tolower() not towlower() on wide characters, which seems
pretty wrong. For that matter, towlower would be wrong too :-( because
there is no certainty that libc's idea of wide characters is the same as
pg_mb2wchar_with_len's.

So yeah, ILIKE looks just about completely broken for multibyte encodings.
Maybe it would be best to pass both strings through lower() and then
do a normal LIKE comparison?

The regexp code doesn't look better, btw, just differently broken ...

Are you volunteering?

This stuff has never worked, so I don't feel that it qualifies as "must
fix for 8.1". If you can come up with a believable low-impact patch,
I'd support putting it in now ... but my guess is that this is a
significant bit of work that will not get done in this release cycle.
