startup of the server. It has to be absolutely clear (in the logfile!) if
the server was started in archive mode or not. Otherwise you always have
to guess.
On server startup there should to be a message like
LOG: Database started in archive mode
or
LOG: Archive mode is DISABLED
To get the users attention.
