Hello. I had postgres 6.5.0 beta v1 installed and everything was running
under our RedHat 5.2 system. I attemped to do a binary upgrade (just a
gmake install from the src directory after compiling) to 6.5.1 and all
seemed to go well. I can see the content of the databases, but if I
attempt to look at the information I get the following error:
db=> \d
ERROR: nodeRead: Bad type 0
'selects' work as do other manipulations of the database. Does anyone
know how to fix this without a dump/reload of all of my db's? I have
quite a bit of data in several db's so I was hoping to avoid that
necessity. I believe an initdb would replace pg_database so the system
wouldn't be able to see my db's, so I've been reluctant to do that. Any
thoughts are appreciated.
