I've just upgraded to 6.4.2. Compiled and installed int8.so:
# gmake install
gmake all
gmake[1]: Entering directory
`/usr/ports/databases/postgresql/work/postgresql-6.4.2/contrib/int8'
gmake[1]: Nothing to be done for `all'.
gmake[1]: Leaving directory
`/usr/ports/databases/postgresql/work/postgresql-6.4.2/contrib/int8'
cp -p int8.so /usr/local/pgsql/lib/modules

Does a modules directory supposed to be in the 'lib' or what?

Best regards
