I have just upgraded to pgadmin 3 version 1.2.0. Every time I try to
connect to a database it crashes with "the instruction at ... referenced
memory at... the memory could not be written...". My PC is Windows 2000
5.0 build 2195 service pack 5. The databases I am connecting to are on a
Windows2000 server: one is Postgres 7, one is Postgres8. I also had a
Beta version of Postgres 8 on my PC - I could not connect to that either.
I have removed Postgres8 from my PC and reinstalled pgadmin 3 with no
improvement. My colleagues are running pgadmin 3 without any problems: so
there must be something odd on my PC. The pgadmin log gives:

2005-01-19 13:14:04 ERROR : Can't read value of key
'HKLM\Software\PostgreSQL\Services\pgsql-8.0-beta1' (error 2: the system

There are no relevant entries in the pg_log.

Hope you can help
