Hi,
Wonder if anyone can give me any advice (or tell me if this is possible!).
I want the postgres user to be able to logon to my database without a
password for maintenance/backup scripts etc, but I don't want someone else
logged onto the box to be able to connect to the database as the postgres
database user i.e. by doing psql dbname postgres. I can't see a way to do
this with the local line in pg_hba.conf. Is it possible?
Thanks,
Tamsin
