hello,
here´s my system configuration:
host os: Suse Linux 6.2
postgres version: 6.4
client os: Windows NT 4.0 SP 5
client application: MS Access 97
odbc driver version: 6.50.00.00

The problem:
when i attempt to connect to database, and i give
a username and password (both existing), i get the
error message [authentication failed].
if i don´t give any username or password, i don´t get
any errormessage, but then nothing happens, so
i am also not connected to the database, although
i don´t recieve any errormessage.
i´ve sent you also 2 log-files, one (325) containing the
try with username and password, the other (299) without.
i also sent you my pg_hba.conf, the one from the
path, where my testdb is installed.

i hope you can help me somehow.
bye
andreas
