Indexes with ccnew, ccnew1, etc.

I've notice a few of these pop up: duplicate indexes with _ccnew, _ccnew1,
etc appended. I'm not entirely sure how it's happened: I'm certainly not
manually creating them.

Any insight? It's a strange thing.
