We do know that and all the libraries that we highlighted have the ability
to create tabs dynamically.

There are 2 PR one from 2017 and another one from Feb that have no comments
on them, and there are open issues also because that have no answer or were
never worked on. Despite the fact that he does answer emails, it looks like
the library will not see any further development.

You are right, specially in the world of Javascript everything changes at a
very high rate. The decisions made when the application was initially built
were good at the time, but we need to face reality that some libraries just
stop being maintained without any warning. Nowadays the best metrics that
we can have on longevity of a library are, for example, based on npmjs.com
metrics that show number of downloads or how quickly an issue/bug is
resolved. On another note, we should also make sure that any library we
use stays decoupled from our application so that when a library is
abandoned we can easily pick up a new one.

When doing all the changes that we did in the past, our aim is to increase
the confidence in the current code base, extract functionality into their
own blocks and make the current code easier to read. On technical to
accomplish this is to use an Hexagonal Architecture. The idea behind this
type of architecture is to isolation the Use Cases of the application from
external dependencies as much as possible. This is where dependency
inversion and dependency injection come into play.

We are not proposing a complete rewrite of the application and we firmly
believe that the architecture of a application can be worked on
iteratively. This is what we are trying to do with ACI Tree.
