With Gabriele Bartolini passing through Dubai on his way to Melbourne
yesterday (2nd Nov), it was an ideal opportunity for a second attempt at a
Dubai PUG meetup. The first attempt, unfortunately, wasn't quite able to
draw a crowd.
I am glad things turned out better :-)

Dubai is the center of business activity for the Middle East and tends to
attract a lot of conferences and events. Rather than innovation, however,
they are mostly oriented towards marketing and sales. Open source software
being a rather alien concept in the region, it's an interesting market to
try and break into.
If anyone on this list has contacts in the region that might be interested
in the PUG meetups, it would be nice to pass these details along.
