Its possible but such a patch would never be committed (did you read the
email thread?). Intuitiveness isn’t a huge concern here. Especially for a
command that isn’t intended to be run manually often.
The learning curve for PostgreSQL includes knowing where to find command
syntax and how to read it. Its a complex language that is constantly being
added to.
