FWIW, I've been using https://github.com/arangodb/linenoise-ng for
Linux and Windows,
but that's C++ and no longer supported (but worked well enough for me).

The main https://github.com/antirez/linenoise itself does not build
as-is on Windows still, I believe. --DD
