I have made the changes as mentioned here
<https://dba.stackexchange.com/questions/190901/how-to-upgrade-postgres-9-5-with-non-default-data-directory-and-checksum-enabled>
.

Now I am getting error with message

connection to database failed: could not translate host name "." to
address: No address associated with hostname
Failure, exiting

Can someone let me know when can this error come? What does it mean?
