[ADVOCACY] pgDay Asia 2017 Invites Sponsors

Hi,

A few days ago we announced pgDay Asia 2017. The pgDay Asia 2016, would not
have been possible without generous sponsorships from various enterprises
involved with or using PostgreSQL. We would like to invite sponsors for
pgDay Asia 2017.

Why Singapore

Singapore is a global city and is very well connected via flights with
major hubs across the globe. It has a unique cultural blend and population
following different ethnicities and religions. The co-existence and sound
infrastructure has provided foundation for rapid growth of the country and
it’s positioning as a trade and financial hub.

These are the reasons why various PostgreSQL User Groups from Asia have
come together to put up one of the largest PostgreSQL shows in Asia – pgDay
Asia 2017, second such pan-Asia PostgreSQL event. The event is held along
with FOSSASIA-2017, the largest Free and Open Source Software event in Asia.

Sponsorship Opportunity

We would like to invite Enterprises who are using PostgreSQL or have
support and services around PostgreSQL to support us in this initiative.
They can support us by being sponsors for the conference. We have various
different sponsorship levels as mentioned below-

Additional Sponsorship opportunity

· Travel Sponsor - pgDay 2016 would not had been possible without
great speakers and wonderful audience. We would like thank all those
organizations who supported our speakers, attendees and volunteers for
their travel. Another way enterprises can support us this year is by
providing financial aid to their employees who will be travelling to attend
the event. Enterprises and organization who are supporting their employees
who are selected as speaker will be offered a tailored Silver Sponsorship
and they can use the following endorsement: "Silver Partner of pgDay Asia
2017" (please contact us to know the benefits). They can also upgrade to
next tier of sponsorship by paying only the difference.

· Food and Catering Sponsors – pgDay 2017 will be providing lunch to
all attendees at the event venue. We invite organizations and enterprises
to be “Catering Sponsor”. Please contact us to know sponsorship fee and
benefits.

· Speaker Dinner – pgDay 2017 will organize a “Thank You” dinner for
our speakers. We invite organizations and enterprises to be a “Dinner
Sponsor”. Please contact us to know sponsorship fee and benefits.

The finances and local logistics for pgDay Asia 2017 are being handled by
Ashnik Pte Ltd, Singapore this year. The fund raised for pgDay Asia 2017
goes directly to expenses of the conference. Any proceeds will be kept for
supporting future events by pgDay Asia team or by other local user groups
across the globe (including Asia).

Singapore being a central location and favoured by many businesses for
their operations headquarter for ASEAN, Asia and APAC. This gives the
sponsors a unique opportunity to showcase their brand at the second
pan-Asia PostgreSQL event.
