FWIW, if all somebody wants to do is unsubscribe, there are much easier
ways to do it. The wiki page (
https://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/PGLister_Announce) contains a section
specifically on how to unsubscribe without a community account.
Your suggestions above are correct, but they have one big difference --
which is that it requires the subscriber to remember which email address
they used to subscribe. It turns out many of our subscribers don't, and
their mail provider does not let them see which email address the mail was
actually delivered to. The method using the unsubscribe link in the list
header will work in those caes, but not the one suggested above.
