HP Server Automation software is a market leading enterprise product that provides lifecycle management for enterprise servers, both physical and virtual, and applications. It is part of HP Software's Data Center Automation suite of products.

HP Server Automation is architected to provide enhanced server management features that can scale from managing hundreds to thousands of servers in one data center to tens of thousands of servers distributed across multiple data centers and remote locations. HPSA provides a broad range of critical functions including discovery to provisioning, patching to configuration management, and script execution to compliance assurance. HPSA is the backbone for private, hybrid or public cloud infrastructure.

You will work in a team with high visibility and impact in the overall product portfolio. You will work with Product Management, Visual designers, QA and Documentation teams to review requirements, write specifications, design, develop & test functionality in the product. You will use your deep knowledge of database technologies from PostgreSQL and Oracle to add support for PostgreSQL in the product. You will have opportunities to explore new technologies and leverage them to keep the products cutting-edge.

Requirements:

Expert level understanding of SQL.

Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in database application development using PostgreSQL.

Minimum 2 years development experience using PostgreSQL in enterprise level environments. Should understand the implications of tables with tens of millions of rows.

Similar experience in Oracle a plus.

Experience with stored procedures a big plus.

Experience with Java, J2EE and/or Python a plus.

Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well with a team.
