Re: installation failed for PostgreSQL 9.0.0 in Windows (Visual C++ Runtime Installation error)

I had this error and the same condition listed
and solved the problem including an extra parameter when calling the program

postgresql-8.4.2-1-windows.exe --install_runtimes 0
(substitute by the right exe)
