ERROR: expected one dependency record for TOAST table, found 0

I'm getting an error while trying to add a column to a table.

ALTER TABLE v_users ADD COLUMN ldap_id SERIAL UNIQUE;
ERROR: expected one dependency record for TOAST table, found 0

Any ideas?
