I thought some of you might be interested in a poll DBA Village is
running (they have a weekly poll). The question is "Which database
do you consider the biggest threat for Oracle".
Right now SQL Server is running at 42%. That boggles the mind.
MySQL is next with 19%. EnterpriseDB/PostgreSQL is 5th at 8%. "No
Idea" is in 3rd place. ;-)
The link is http://www.dba-village.com/village/dvp_base.main if
anyone cares to follow. It's kind of a crowded page and the poll is
on the main page in the upper left.
