SESSION SESSION - bug or intentional?

I was looking at something in gram.y when I noticed that the following
production works:

SET SESSION SESSION CHARACTERISTICS AS TRANSACTION READ ONLY;

"SESSION SESSION" seems fairly odd -- is it intentional?
