Hi

This page:

contains info so outdated that it'd be better replaced with a link to
the relevant PostgreSQL documentation. In particular, re vacuum:

" While this tool is very handy for ad-hoc maintenance purposes, you are
encouraged to install an automatic job, that performs a VACUUM job
regularly to keep your database in a neat state."

which suggests that it *predates autovacuum*.
