trouble with pam building 9.3beta2

Should I just bail on PAM?

My system:

My configuration:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/pgsql-9.3b2 --with-python --with-openssl
--with-pam --with-ossp-uuid --with-libxml --with-libxslt
--with-includes=/usr/include/lsb3 --with-libraries=/usr/lib/lsb3
