Just looking for a Linux alternative loation for log_directory and permissions, so that I can use a script to sniff the last 30 lines in this file.

I have it here:

/home/myuser/pg_logs

…with permissions 660, ownership: myuser:postgres

…and the server won’t start due to permissions issues. Again, I want to sniff the latest log for errors, so this has to be taken into consideration.

Any insight appreciated.

Cheers, Bee
