In an unprecedented fit of organizational initiative, David and I have
scheduled the next two meetings of SFPUG:
March Meeting: Turnitin.com database architecture
Date: March 14th at 7:30pm
Location: iParadigms office, downtown Oakland
Speaker: iParadigm's software architects
Topic: Discussion of turnitin.com (the #1 anti-plagarism site on the
'net) database architecture, including ad-hoc clustering, queueing, and
performance issues.
April Meeting: Streaming Databases
Date: April 3rd at 7:00 pm
Location: Amalgamated Insight office in San Mateo
Speaker: Sailesh
Topic: Amalagamated Insight's mature implementation of streaming
databases, based on TelegraphCQ (an offshoot of PostgreSQL) and AI's
applications for streaming.
