You can also try
SELECT * from broadcast_history A WHERE NOT EXISTS
(SELECT * from broadcast_history B WHERE B.date_sent >A.date_sent)
There isn't any PostgreSQL-ism, just a correlated subrequest wich is
perfectly standars, afaik
