Thank you very much for the clarification (I've discovered something similar looking at
"http://archives.postgresql.org" after posting my message to this newsgroup...)

Only another question:
is there the possibility of downloading a "precompiled" version (a "jar" file) of "jdbc for
postgressql" that run with Postgresql 7.2.1 and J2SDK 1.4.0?????
Where can I find such a file?
