Hi all,
I have tried elsewhere first and received no suggestions. Here is the original
post to the general list.....
[snip]
Trying to install 7.4.5 ('cause its what I have) from source on SCO OpenServer 5.0.7
The compile succeeds, all be it with warnings...
gmake install -- OK
create the data directories -- OK
/usr/local/pgsql/bin/initdb - D /usr/local/pgsql/data -- OK
/usr/local/pgsql/bin/postmaster -i -B 256 D /usr/local/pgsql/data & -- OK
/usr/local/pgsql/bin/createdb test produces
LOG: setsockopt(TCP_NODELAY) failed: Protocol not available
createdb: could not connect [rest not copied]
[snip]
More info.
/usr/local/pgsql/bin/createdb -h localhost test -- Appears OK
I'm not a member of this list so please mail direct if
you have a suggestion.
Thanks in advance
Allan
