(Running 6.51 under Linux 2.2.9 (Mandrake 6.0 distribution) on an
AMD-K6-II-400 on an AOpen AX59PR0 motherboard; dmesg says that the FPU
uses "exception 16" error reporting)
The FLOAT8 pow() and exp() overflows both failed to cause exceptions, in
one case returning NaNs and in the other vanishingly small values
(mostly 0). There were also last-digit arithmetic differences.
Geometry tests also failed but I'm not using that so didn't look.
Cheers.

A clerk at a register in a computer store was questioned as to why
a 14.4 fax-modem costs over $400. The Induhvidual clerk seriously
studied the box and replied, "Well, it also has data."
