I am trying to install PostgreSQL on a Unix system. As far as I know,
all the files have been decompressed into the appropriate places, but I
don't know how to proceed with the install. Someone told me that there
is a help file called "install," with directions for everything, but I
have not been able to find such a thing. According to an automated
e-mail received during the decompression stage, some files had not been
decompressed, and I was given instructions on how to do that, which I
did. Is it possible that the missing file was never in the archive?
Could someone please help?
