To jump in here -- I have been organizing the conference along with
Joshua here in Portland (happening October 20th), and it has probably
taken 40 hours of my time. So far, we think we will have about 50
people - so it is smaller than the Italian PGDay.
I would love to help with conference organizing for the European
PgDay. Unfortunately, I only speak English, but can recite Russian
tongue twisters after a couple beers.
I'll be posting all the information I've gathered for our conference
on the developer wiki when we're done. I would love to take the
"lessons learned" from my experience and the Italian PGDay and come up
with a "so you want to have a PGDay conference? Here's what to do!"
document for other user groups to refer to. (we just had another group
in New Zealand start up!)
