Yeah, that's why it makes a difference. 'est5edt' doesn't match any of
those and so it gets taken as a POSIX-rule timezone spec.

regression=# set timezone = 'EST5EDT';
SET
regression=# select now();
now
-------------------------------
2007-03-14 12:52:41.798348-04

regression=# set timezone = 'est5edt';
SET
regression=# select now();
now
------------------------------
