Thanks. I have never used the indicator plugin before. I saw in it's
description that it was related to something familiar to the unity
users. I have never used unity so did not think it was necessary to use
it.
I have installed it now and now I can see the icon I could not find.
Maybe this must be in the documentation: "If you are using XFCE4 on Debian, install
the 'indicator' plugin."
