The following documentation comment has been logged on the website:

Page: https://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.4/static/functions-geometry.html
Description:

Hi. You can not select '((1,-1),(-1,1))' # '((1,1),(-1,-1))' without any
type to see example for operator #. In both samples you need also types,
like:

box '((1,-1),(-1,1))' # box '((1,1),(-1,-1))'

# path '((1,0),(0,1),(-1,0))'
