Using BSD/OS with 8.1, 8.4 and 9.3

All right, finally compiled more semaphores
into the server to use more recent and supported PostGRESQL version.

Odd problem is that 8.1 seems to perfrom better than

8.4 compile and 9.3 compiled.

Question: is their anything I should tweek?
