The following bug has been logged online:
Bug reference: 2397
Logged by: Pter Szab
Email address: pts(at)szszi(dot)hu
PostgreSQL version: 8.1.3
Operating system: Linux
Description: 1 = SELECT ASCII(CHR(257))
Details:
Hi!
I have a Unicode-enabled PostgreSQL with the database encoding set to
UNICODE and the client encoding set to UTF-8.
I think ASCII(CHR(257)) should return 257, and not 1. Or, there should be
another function in place of ASCII, that returns 257.
