IT MITTELSTAND is an information technology magazine focussed on German
med-sized companies.
In recent volume 03/2006 a good and balanced article by Martin Schwer
(p. 28 to 33) has been published, where the topic is (translated) "Is
open-source an alternative solution for databases?" - written in
German.
It covers strenghts and limits of open-source software compared to
commercial solutions - in particular PostgreSQL is covered including
feature list and citing users. MySQL and some other floss dbms are also
mentioned by name.
