The following bug has been logged online:
Bug reference: 1665
Logged by: Andrew Fabbro
Email address: andrew(at)fabbro(dot)org
PostgreSQL version: 8.0.3
Operating system: Any
Description: postgresql-8.0.3.zip corrupt
Details:
I downloaded the Win32 distribution postgresql-8.0.3.zip from two different
USA mirrors and on both Windows (WinZip) and Linux (unzip), the .zip file
was corrupt. Both downloads were done this morning (between 8:45 and 9:15
US/Pacific time).
I notice that the .ZIP for 8.0.3. is 14MB, while 8.0.2 is 18MB.
Here is the Linux output:
andrew(at)hallofjustice pg $ unzip postgresql-8.0.3.zip
Archive: postgresql-8.0.3.zip
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of postgresql-8.0.3.zip or
postgresql-8.0.3.zip.zip, and cannot find postgresql-8.0.3.zip.ZIP,
period.
andrew(at)hallofjustice pg $
The file I tried was
http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/download/mirrors-ftp?file=binary%2Fv8.0.3%2F
win32%2Fpostgresql-8.0.3.zip
Thanks,
Andrew Fabbro
