Actually it looks like it is because of a different problem.
If I go to www.postgresql.org, navigate to various links except the mirrors link, every page still references www.postgresql.org.
If I go to the mirrors page, the address bar link becomes http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/mirror/website
If I then select any of the 5 US mirrors that are closest to me I am redirected back to the main site page. In addition the address link becomes http://www19.us.postgresql.org. Now if I try to navigate to any links on the page the mirror site url is always used / inserted instead of www.postgresql.org
