Hi all,
First,
During Solutions Linux 2005 exhibit Feb 1,2,3 Paris, we'll have this year the
pleasure to hear Bruce, Jan, Gilles (ora2pg) and Stéphane (french specialist of
RDBMS for Linagora) during the database conference:
http://www.solutionslinux.fr/en/conferences_detail.php?id_conference=26
(seems to be not yet translated, should be done in a few)
SL 2005 home (french) : http://www.solutionslinux.fr/fr/index.php

I think you can add it to next PostgreSQL events in PGWN (thanks Robert for your
great work, we translate pgwn each week on our site!).
Second,
We'll have a booth this year at the exhibit, for PostgreSQLFr.org internet site
and french non-lucrative association (french 1901 law for non-lucrative
associations). It should be as big as a table and two school chairs :)
I remember some told me here it could be possible, we would like to have some goodies
for the booth:
1 or 2 posters as a minimum,
anything else? Like TShirts for example?... Books?
We could buy all of it to PostgreSQL project (whats the commercial entity? PG
INC?..). Since our association is not yet setted up (should be in the next few
months), we'll buy it on personal fundings. Or can it be possible you send a
little 'stock' and we will return everything not sold and buy only sold stuff?
Lets'say we'll add 1 or 2 euros for our the association funding. The objective
is clearly not to make money but just having a little money to start hiring the
association's server. (PostgreSQLFr.org is hosted on a friend's server since feb
2004...). Every booth there has its own tshirt and stuff. We would be so proud
in wearing PostgreSQL Tshirts :)
I'll try to ask O'Reilly to let PostgreSQL books at our booth... Is this a good
idea? There are good books too in Eyrolles (fr editor of computer's books).
I hope Bruce and Jan will take few hours to meet french PostgreSQL users in our
booth. I think they could sign some goodies?
Well, I listen to any help. Its the first time I organize such a thing in my
life, I have no idea of how it can be done .
Any help much appreciated, then!
Hope to read you soon,
Best regards,
