Nifty Stuff In PostgreSQL 7.4, with Josh Berkus
or, the Return of the Pizza
Ah, Perl and databases: a perfect match.
This month, PostgreSQL guru Josh Berkus will regale us with the cool
new features of PostgreSQL, including PL/Perl, which lets you write
your database queries in Perl. The main focus will be on Postgres
itself. If you're trying to choose a database, this talk should help;
if you already use PostgreSQL, this should give you a deeper view.
This talk marks the Return of the Pizza. Level Acuity, a San
Francisco-based provider of Perl staffing and projects, is sponsoring
free pizza. Yay for them! The pizza will be served partway through
the talk.
If you're planning to come, RSVP to qw(at)sf(dot)pm(dot)org(dot) Please give the
names of everyone in your party, so I can guest-list you with building
security. You can use pseudonyms if you like. ;)
For time and transit details, check
