My opinion is that you should go to 7.3 now.
7.4 seems to have a ways to go before it is even going to be in beta, so it
will be a minimum of several months before it is released.
The change from 7.3 to 7.4 will likely be easier than going from
7.2 to 7.3 (because schemas are a big change in 7.3).
