Morning all ...
For those that have been using news.postgresql.org for reading the
groups, or have been working on the Advocacy site, you will have noticed
some very sporatic dowtimes (or uptimes) with the server) ...
On Friday, one of the hardware techs @ Rackspace suggested that
the power supplies on that server may not be powerful enough to handle the
extra drives, so put an order in for 2x400W power supplies to replace the
300W ones we have now.
They are scheduale to arrive tomorrow mornign, at which time they
are going to replace both power supplies, as well as the motherboard, so
there will be some schedualed downtime in the morning while they perform
the upgrades.
Hopefully this finally fixes things so that some of us can sleep
better at night ... :)
